What a laugh

I had such a great laugh last night and it felt so good. I made Beef Stew for dinner and after I put left overs up I let both dogs take turns eating the stuck potatoes and gravy out of the crock pot !!!! BUT wait I don't normally do this so my dogs went CRAZY !!!!! I wanted both dogs head in the bowl at the same time but that did not work out and so Mitzy let Cowboy take it first then as I dragged the Beagle away I let Mitzy take a turn. As you can see in the picture my beagle (Cowboy) was so sad and did not know why he had to hand over the bowl to sister. They both had it all over their noses and ears and I just laughed watching them clean themselves up.

Terrific Tuesday !!!!

WOW !!!! My son has done it again. A honor roll kid !!!!!! I am so proud of him he has made straight A's since first grade and in Kidergarten they rate them in percentage and he had 97% average at the end of the year. The thing is he loves school and everything comes so easy for him and he does not even have to try and learn he is a little sponge and can remember everything and does math in his head!!!! He does have a down side he writes so fast that his handwritting is soooooooo bad. Now his cursive is great but his handwritting hmmmm it needs some working !!!!! He is so ready for the 5th grade and counting down the days till school is out. I wish I was like that. I did well in school but had to work hard at it and so it made me not want to go to school because I dreaded school work. Also when I went to school my parents sent me to private school an hour away so I never had any friends that lived close by. But I liked my school and it gave me one on one time with my dad since he took me to school. His work was in Arlington and we lived in Grand Prairie at the time.

Madness Monday

This was such a long day. I got my son off to school today and started running errands and I got a call from my GI office asking if I could come in this morning instead of my appointment Tuesday and I asked if there would be a long wait or if I could just get in and out because I have another DR appointment an hour away that I need to get to as well. They said when could I come and I said give me 20 min (that is how long it would take for me to get to the office) I got there and they said thanks for coming today the DR had something come up that he needed to move patients around so I said that is fine. Well get this I WAITED and hour and a half to get pulled back there and then I waited another 45 min. In the time waiting I called the other office to let them know I needed to come when my son gets out of school and told them what all was happening and they understood. Also as I sat in the waiting room I read a sign that said if you come 20 minutes late to your appointment you would need to reschedule for another day!!!!! I should of told them my office visit should be free since they ate up my whole morning and lied and said I would be in and out of there. What is also so bad is the Dr sees you in and out for maybe 5 minutes if not less. I know I need these appointments and they keep an eye on my Crohns but man I hate the wait I have in his office. Anyhow I have to go back in next Tuesday and do another EGD. I know this sounds weird but I hate them more than the Colonoscopys!!!! The prep work is a heck of a lot easier but the pain afterwards hurts more ( my throat feels like it is on fire) !!!! Anyways I got out of there and came home and layed down for 2 hours then got up and went to get my son from school and headed to DR appointment 2 for the day. Now this Dr he is great and I get my money out of him I am in the waiting room no longer then 5 min and scene shortley after and he will sit and talk to you about my symptoms, my test, blood work and also ask what all is going on with the GI Dr and he is soooo GREAT. I was there just 2 weeks ago with tons of blood work and so I did not have to do anymore today and I told him about the EDG for next Tuesday and he said come back in 30 days inless I needed to come back sooner. I felt bad for my son because here it is after scool and he got dragged an hour away then by time we got home I needed to finish my errands I had not made it to Wal-Mart and we were out of some things we so needed!!!! Napkins, toilet paper and paper towels !!!! I went to the store yesterdays and forgot all about them !!! Anyways we are home now and he is fed and happy and I am going to bed early tonight!!!!!

I am such a clean freak and could not do it alone without my Kiby doing all the vacuuming !!!! What vacuum does everyone out there own and does it do a great job you want it to do?

My sons DREAM car

A few weeks ago they had a car show that we always go to. Not only is it fun to see all the new cars coming out you can get into most and look at everything without a SALESMAN !!!!!!! I can't stand it when they follow you around the lot even after you tell them you are there just looking. Anyways we had a great time and here is my son loving this $300,000 sports car !!!!! The closest thing he will get to driving one is on his X BOX game !!!!! Thinking about it he will be taking drivers ed in only 5 years !!! Yikes time flies.

Crazy Dogs !!!!

My dogs think that they are human only because we treat them like our own kids!!!!! They are so rotten. Every month they have a new collar depending on what month it is and all. This month they both have Valentines on!!! For our boy dog who is a Beagle it was hard not to find one to girlish and I found one online with red,pink,and white beagles on it with a black back ground!!!It is so cute!!!! Mitzy she has a heart collar!!! I posted a picture of their collars and if you know of a website that I can get more let me know!!!

HMMMMMMM HMMMMMM GOOD

I was so caught last night eating away at MY cake !!!!!! My husband caught me and took shots so when I felt bad in a few hours he can show me how I got this away!!!!! But I so much enjoyed my cake and yes in just a few short hours of eating a piece at a time it was all gone!!!!! We ended up going to the Steak House down the street and I got chuck wagon chicken although it was a Steak House but hey my son got shrimp and my husband got chicken fried steak !!!!!!!Anyhow we all had a great night and yes I did get my flowers and CHOCOLATE and a new coffee mug !!!!!! Which by the way I need to go see my neighbor and check on him and give him some coffee !!!!! Have a GREAT day!!!!!!

Wedding

Here is a wedding that we were in around this time 6 years ago!!!!! My son was wanting to talk away down the isle to my dad as you can see. ( he was 4 at the time)I love this picture of my parents it was the last one they had taken all dressed up with one another before he past and the other picture is my son and I on the dance floor dancing away!!!!! Wow time flies so fast it seems like the other day we were at that wedding happy as can be as a family !!!! Hope you enjoy !!!!!

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines Day to all. This time of year since my father past away is hard just like every holiday and everyday. But on Valentines he always got me flowers and candy like he would for my mother. One year I ate the whole box of chocolate like I still do in one sitting (I am such a CHOCOLATE LOVER) and got soooooo sick before school. That day while at school I broke out into the hives and got sent home. My father was such a GREAT parent and I was so lucky to have him. Now for my son every year since he was a baby I get him a Valentines and have it for him by his breakfast but I won't let him eat any candy before school. Yesterday I was getting everything back in the camper to take back to storage since they have it rebuilt and I had his card on the counter of the RV and he saw it so I told him he would not get it now that he saw it but I placed it in his lunch box this morning after we sighned it ( I even painted the dogs paws and stamped the paws on there.) My husband always takes us out to eat for dinner so I need to be thinking of where to go this year. I want Olive Garden but it is an hour away and he drives 2 hours to and from work everyday so I don't want him to do anymore driving when he gets home !!!! He would do it though if I asked him but I don't think I will !!!!! Mexican food sounds good but my stomach kills me after I eat it and I am just now getting back in remission after being sick for months with my Crohns and all my meds are starting to work again. Then this morning I drank coffee and that is already kicking me in the hiney. My best friend needed me to check in on her husband so I called before I walked over and asked what all he needed and he said coffee and Dr Pepper!!! That was simple enough so I made coffee and fixed me a cup as well and after drinking it I had to get home. I told him I would bring him some lunch so I will be back over there in a few hours. I have been through some medical procedures but never back surgery and he is already laying on his back and that made me hurt just watching him lay there. Anyways the picture I have on this post is one of my father and I on Valentines when I was 16 !!!!! Have A Happy Valentines !!!!!!!!

BUSY BUSY BUSY>>>>>>

I have been so busy doing this and that for the past few days. Our new camper came in after we ordered it 6 weeks ago. (our other one burnt down at Christmas time ) So I had to go buy all new stuff since everything got destroyed.!!! We also had to put our sons 4 wheeler in the shop and have no idea why it won't start it was fine and dandy the other week when we started them up and rode for awhile. They said it would be a week before they could even look at it.We made a quick trip to Brackenridge to go camping this past weekend to make sure all went well with the camper and nothing was wrong !!!!! (THANK GOODNESS) My son took a friend and they had a great time. My best friends husband had back surgery yesterday and already home today !!!! I can't belive how they kick you out so soon. She goes back to work tommorow so I will go across the street and check on him a few times a day while he gets to doing better. Also my other friend next door just found out that they are expecting !!!!! So now that makes 4 of my friends having babies!!!! Other than that nothing to crazy has been going on !!!!

My Cravings

Is anyone out there like I am and all they crave is sweets !!!!! I love CHOCOLATE and can eat it for every meal and in between !!! HA HA HA......... My family can tell you that I will make a cake or any brownie and cookies and they better eat some because by the next evening I ate the whole thing!!!!!!! YES,I will eat a whole cake in just a few minutes after everyone goes to school and work!!!! Well to tell you the truth it all has to do to the fact that my magnesium levels are low do to my Crohn' but I also love my CHOCOLATE !!!!!!! So if you find yourself only wanting chocolate you might want to have your magnesium level checked out!!!

Getting to know me

My name is Rebecca and I am 33 years old. I am also a mother to a 10 year old boy and a wife for the past 12 years. I am a stay at home mother but stay really busy with errands and doctor appointments and my sons school. I have had a really great life but a really sad one for the past few years. Two years ago I lost my grandfather (Nov), my father (April), my grandmother(July), and my aunt sometime that fall. Two years before that I had already lost both grandparents on my fathers side. But my family and friends help me through all I am going through and I feel tons of love. I also have been living with Crohn's since 1988 and have had many ups and downs with my health. I am an easy going person and very shy till I get to know someone. I am a clean freak and must have everything in it's spot or it drives me crazy. We have two dogs Mitzy and Cowboy and they both think they are humans. My husband is a Superintedant for Performance Contractors and we met back in 1992 and got married in 1995. Our son was born Oct. 15, 1997 at 10 pounds and 6 ounces and a total of 23 inches. (yes, he was a huge baby) Oh and I did have him natural incase you were wondering !!!!!! He is now in fourth grade and an A honor roll kid since 1st grade!!! As a family we go camping all the time and ride our 4 wheelers. I have such a crazy life at times and my best friend said you ought to write a book about all your happenings and I said well it would take a long time to catch up on what all has taken place in my life so I started this blog and thought I might be able to start some kind of journal and tell a few stories of my past. I hope you are all ready for what I have to write because I have had some adventures with being a Wife, Mother and living with Crohn's !!!!!!
